Oh Becky!:D

This is my little sister Becky, CORRECTION : this is "one" of my little sisters. She is cute and funny, but she can be very annoying. In this post, I'm going to be typing about her humor.
Apparently, a family from England has recently moved in, and the children are going to the same school as my sisters. One of them apparently is in 2nd grade; in my sister Becky's class.

So yesterday, Becky had been paying close attention to this British boy, and when she came home off the bus and told us about him. We said that was very fascinating. Her reply was..... "actually mom, he's not very smart and he doesn't like to talk, and the worst thing is, is that he doesn't even know the Pledge Of Allegiance!"

When Becky told us that, my sister Emily and I laughed a lot, then Becky curiously said... "WHAT?"

Its Time For Bed!

Persuasive Writing For Homeschool:
Dear Mom and Dad,

I know that both of you are very smart, and that there is no reason why I should try to persuade you. Except for this reason.

I think my bed time is just right; I like it a lot. I like it so much because I get just the right amount of sleep, to where I'm not tired in the morning... except for the part when I wake up. I'm not good at waking up, as you know, but after I'm done getting out of bed, I'm not at all tired. Although I think most people are still a little bit tired after they wake up.

In the morning, when I see Emily (my older sister) all grumpy and moody, I think about how great it is to have my bed time. I think about that MOSTLY at night when no one wants to be by Emily because she can get super moody. That's something we've all experienced in my house.

So, Mom and Dad, thank you for setting up my bedtime. This letter was to try to ~persuade~ you to NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE, change my bed time. I like 9:30pm... it works for me.

Good Night!
Love, Karin

Winter Break pic.s

Did I mention it snowed on our last day in Bransen?
This was our Cabin
Yaaay! I got a camera!
Catherine... didn't want to see Santa

Winter Break

Winter Break was a lot of fun, of course getting out of school is what most kids can't wait for, and with out a doubt Christmas is what NO ONE can wait for!
My Christmas was perfect I got just what I wanted, one of my posts was a Christmas list, that was a long time ago.... and I changed my list a lot. So don't go read it and think I got ALL that. But it was definitely a good Christmas, I actually got some thing that weren't on my list, and those things I would never thought of, but I LOVE them anyway!
One of my favorite gifts was a family gift.... the gift was that we were going to go to Bransen that following Monday! When I said we were going to Bransen, I didn't mean like "Silver Dollar City"... I meant we were going to go to a vacationing spot, called "Big Cedar Lodge". And was it big or what! We rented out our own private cabin, it was really nice we had a great view of the lake and everything. It couldn't have been anymore perfect.
New Years Eve was great, we stayed up 'till the ball dropped, we had a great night, except for the part where I stubbed my little pinky toe on the vacuum cleaner. It was stubbed so hard that it was dislocated. :( Now its swollen and purple. It doesn't hurt anymore though... except for when I poke it. :)

Thanksgiving Break

For thanksgiving break this year, my family and I went to New Jersey, to visit family and friends. We had to drive of course, because there is 7 people in my family... BIG FAMILY! Anyway, our drive to New Jersey was long and boring (20 hours)! We left on Monday November 23, we woke up around 4 am and were on the road around 4:30. On this particular Monday we drove all day long, even part of Tuesday morning. We got to my grandparents house around 1:30 am, and had some fried chicken... we were hungry! Then after we ate we went to sleep.

The whole time we were in New Jersey I got to sleep on the pull out bed in the great room... but I did want to, but maybe just so I could get away from my sisters. On the first "real" day we were in New Jersey, my sister Meghan and I got to go see my new baby cousin Jake, and my Aunt, and we sort of got to see my Uncle... he got back from work 10 minutes before we left. Ten minutes isn't very long. At the very end of that day, we got the very best... Scotto's Pizza! Yaaaaaaaaaaay! We were all so excited to have the real stuff... it was yummy! Then we got to- before we went to sleep- see my best friend from when we still lived in New Jersey (4 and a half years ago).

When we pulled up in their driveway, Christina came running out and picked me up and swung me around, not that I didn't want to see her, but the swinging thing was a little... weird. Then when we went into her house where it was actually light, I saw how super tall Christina was, I'm not exaggerating at all, she is a foot and 2 inches taller than me. She even picked me up.... we took a picture of that. Also when my mom went and hugged Christina, Christina could look straight ahead and just see my moms hair. My mom is also average size, she isn't short at all... Christina's parents are really tall though, so thats how she is so tall. That was all done on just on Tuesday.

Then came my crazy Wednesday. My sister Emily were planning on seeing friends (old friends ...ones we haven't seen in forever)... which we did. So we left around the time all of our friends would be getting off the bus, first we went to see one of my old friends Amanda, when I went into her house all I thought to say was hi... luckily my mom came in and started a conversation with Amanda's dad. Or something really bad would have happened, it was like I had stage fright... just at someone's home... awkward! We went to see some more friends ... Danielle, Lauren, and Kaitlyn. Then the last friends we saw for the day, were the Kainers. Evan, was my boyfriend as a 4-7 year old, when we went to their house Emily and I went to their backyard to see that they were paying tag- in the rain? Then once everyone came inside, we went to their basement where their washer and dryer was. Who knew that Evan could fit in the dryer?

On Thursday (Thanksgiving) we had some more family come to my grandparents house, and I was the one who had to set the table. We ate and it was yummy! Then, we all got to hold baby Jake again. We all fought over who got to hold him because he is just so cute!

Friday was awesome.... we went to New York! We also met up with our Aunt, cousin, and my Aunt's boyfriend. We all went to the "Museum of Natural History". That's where "Night in the Museum" was filmed... but it didn't ring any bells at first. We all got the best of the best New York hot dogs ...YUMMY! Saturday was our last half day in New Jersey, it was a packing day. We left around 11 am, and we went to my mom's friend's house for lunch where we had sandwiches and they were good. Then we drove for the rest of the day before stopping at a hotel for the night.

When we woke up on Sunday, we went to a church (St. Andrew's in Roanoke, VA). The priest (if you've ever been on a Disney monorail you will know what I'm about to say) sounded like the man on the monorail saying... "Please stand clear of the doors". It was really funny.

On Sunday night we finally got home, and we got to sleep in out own beds. I found a DEAD roach in my room (mom says it's because I bring snacks to my room), so i was a little scared to sleep, 'cause I thought that there might be a roach in my bed. There wasn't... Hurray!

Well, thats the end of my Thanksgiving Vacation Story! :D
